CBME-FM CBC Radio One Montreal - live

CBME-FM is a government-owned station that broadcasts on 88.5 in Montreal, Quebec. This station is part of the CBC Radio One network and it features a commercial-free news/talk format broadcasting. Unlike most FM stations CBME-FM broadcasts in mono, like all CBC Radio One stations.
CBME-FM was originally known as CRCM and it featured an AM frequency (1050 AM) upon its launch in 1933. At the time, the Canadian Radio Broadcasting Commission owned the station. This changed in 1937, when CBC became the new owner of the station and the station call sign became CBM. The call sign changed again in 1999 to CBME-FM to distinguish itself from sister station CBM-FM.
