The FAN Morning Show goes into its final hour of the week focused on what will be an exciting weekend of sports. Ben Ennis and Brent Gunning start with the Maple Leafs, who play their home opener on Saturday on Hockey Night In Canada against Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins, and take some time to dive into Toronto’s special teams play. Craig Simpson, former NHLer and current HNIC and Sportsnet analyst, joins the conversations to shares his takeaways from the Leafs' first two games, their superstars not scoring a goal yet, and "Sid the Kid" still playing at an elite level at this point of his career. Later, the morning pair turn their attention to the MLB postseason ahead of two do-or-die Game 5's over the weekend. MLB Network’s Adnan Virk offers his expectations for Padres-Dodgers and Tigers-Guardians, before chatting about both New York teams advancing to their league championships, some under the radar storylines from these playoffs, and if not bat flipping is the new bat flipping (28:57). Happy Thanksgiving weekend to all our Canadian listeners!
