Cosmology & Science

A new conversation with independent researcher and Cosmologist Chris Brown - about surface brightness on distant galaxies, Hubble's reservations about the redshift, the deeper nature of mass, space, time and gravity, and ideas about new discoveries in Cosmology and the recent launch of the Jim Webb Telescope. In this episode we are looking at how Science is slowly changing. We'll be talking with Cybernetics Expert and Philosopher Ian Glendinning about science, emergence, Robert Pirsig's "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance", combining arts & sciences, the nature of the brain hemispheres, and Iain McGilchrist's "The Matter with Things". One of the main threads will be the balance between science and what lies beyond, and how this might be reflected in deep ontology and the architecture of our brains. In this second talk with Chris Brown we're going more in detail through his book's proposal and how it sketches out both a limited "visible" cosmos for us - with a radius of 4200 Mpc, and an infinite Universe overall - where the density approaches zero with growing radius. We're also comparing this with the cosmological theories by Roger Penrose and Stephen Hawking. First impressions from reading a great and interesting new book by Chris Brown.https://amzn.com/1976891132 (https://amzn.com/1976891132) The thesis is that Graviational Redshift is the cause of redshift of distant galaxies. Great food for thought, to explore the foundations of the current cosmological models - and maybe discover new things! Enjoy!
